Premiering at Edinburgh Fringe 2017
“The Headless Woman and Other Delights” – a Storyteller’s account of leaving home to live on a Scottish Island and the stories she found there
A collaboration with artist Marjan Wouda and animator Adam York Gregory
At The Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh 8th – 12th August 1.30 pm
A Storyteller leaves Lancashire to spend three years on the Isle of Arran. This is what she found there.
Through live storytelling, peep-boxes and projection, the audience are drawn into a story circle where ancient tales of boggarts and mermaids hold hands with contemporary accounts of supernatural landscapes against a backdrop of Scottish island life.
A collaboration between storyteller Jacqueline Harris and artist Marjan Wouda.
‘Delight in their kick, their lyrical moments, their sense of mystery, their kindness’ (Kevin Crossley-Holland, on Jacqueline’s stories).
‘Here is someone whose work is indeed true sculpture. She gives an almost surreal twist to her work that immediately makes it thought provoking’ (Sir Kyffin Williams RA on Marjan’s work).
