The Headless Woman and Other Delights

A collaboration with artist Marjan Wouda and animator Adam York Gregory

At Edinburgh Fringe 2017, The Scottish Storytelling Centre, Edinburgh  8th – 12th August 2017

Through live storytelling, peep-boxes and projection, the audience are drawn into a story circle where ancient tales of boggarts and mermaids hold hands with contemporary accounts of supernatural  landscapes, all set against a backdrop of day to day life on a Scottish island.

An exploration of  the edges where reality and imagination blur, and what happens as we walk with one foot in each.

Audience comments:

“I was seduced and then spellbound by the old stories intertwined with your life on Arran. Thank you!”

“A beautiful interweaving of folklore, personal story and landscape. Lovely.”

“Engaging. Felt like I was part of her world”

“Very atmospheric”

“Awesome”
